| Reverse description | The reverse presents a richly detailed commemorative composition celebrating the Poyarkov Expedition of 1643–1646. In the lower left, a bearded bust of Vasily Danilovich Poyarkov is depicted in three-quarter view, wearing a traditional fur-trimmed hat. To the right, a large sailing vessel with crew members aboard navigates turbulent waters of the Amur River, rendered in fine engraved detail against a frosted field. In the upper portion of the field, a schematic map indicates the routes between Yakutsk and the Amur River, accompanied by a heraldic emblem. Along the lower arc, the Cyrillic inscription ЭКСПЕДИЦИЯ В.ПОЯРКОВА (Poyarkov's Expedition) and the dates 1643–1646 appear, while the upper field carries the legend ОСВОЕНИЕ СИБИРИ XVI·XVII (The Development of Siberia, 16th–17th centuries). |
