Obverse description The obverse features a centrally positioned depiction of an Orthodox church with a domed cupola surmounted by a cross, framed by two ornately decorated archways with geometric cross motifs rendered in the style of medieval Slavic ecclesiastical architecture. An arched Cyrillic legend reading ПРАВОСЛАВНЫЕ СВЯТЫЕ (Orthodox Saints) curves above the church portal. The state emblem of the Republic of Belarus appears at the top of the field, flanked by the Cyrillic inscriptions РЭСПУБЛIКА to the left and БЕЛАРУСЬ to the right along the upper rim. The denomination 50 РУБЛЁЎ is inscribed to the lower left of the central design, with the date 2008 and the fineness Au 900 to the lower right, and the Mint of Poland mintmark (MW) in the lower field.
