| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings lowered, enclosed within a dotted border. The arc legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) curves beneath the eagle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination legend ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ (FIFTY ROUBLES), while the lower rim bears, from left to right, the precious metal designation and fineness (Au 999), the year of issue (2014 г.), the fine metal content, and the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД).
