Obverse description The aluminium-bronze centre features the Russian state emblem: a double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, facing outward on both heads, set against a plain field. The eagle is rendered in fine relief with detailed feathering. The mint mark (ЛМД) appears in small letters beneath the eagle within the centre. The copper-nickel outer ring bears the Cyrillic legend '50 РУБЛЕЙ 1994г.' along the upper arc and 'БАНК РОССИИ' along the lower arc, all in upright serif lettering.

Reverse description The aluminium-bronze centre depicts a left-facing jeyran (Persian gazelle, Gazella subgutturosa) standing in profile on sparse rocky ground, its head lowered toward a small sprig of vegetation, rendered in naturalistic relief with fine surface detail. Small plants are visible in the lower field, evoking the arid steppe habitat of the species. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the Cyrillic inscription 'КРАСНАЯ КНИГА' along the upper arc and 'ДЖЕЙРАН' along the lower arc, separated by raised dot ornaments, identifying the coin as part of the Red Data Book endangered species series.
