Obverse description At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia after the Ivan Bilibin design, displayed with wings spread, serving as the state symbol of the issuing authority. Below the eagle, metallic inscriptions indicate the alloy designation (Au 900), the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД), and the fine gold content (7.78 g). A beaded inner border frames the central device, with the denomination and date legend «50 РУБЛЕЙ 1995 г.» arcing along the upper rim and the issuer inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» along the lower rim, all in Cyrillic.
