| Obverse description | At the centre of the obverse, the State Emblem of the Bank of Russia features the double-headed eagle after the design of Ivan Bilibin, set within a beaded inner circle. A semicircular legend below the eagle reads 'БАНК РОССИИ' (Bank of Russia). Along the upper rim the denomination legend 'ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ' (Fifty Roubles) is inscribed, with the date '2000' positioned along the lower rim. To the left of the eagle in the field appear the metal purity designations 'Au 900', and to the right the fine metal content '7.78' and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram 'СПМД'. |
