Additional information

Patterns from the 1925 Reichspfennig series document the monetary committee's extended deliberations over alloy selection before the nickel shortage concerns pushed the final circulating types toward aluminum-bronze. This copper-nickel trial was never approved for production. The KM# Pn13 designation places it among a small cluster of contemporaneous patterns tested that year, most of which remained in Reichsbank or official collection hands and saw no circulation whatsoever.
