Reverse description Central quartered cross dividing the field into four lobes in a quatrefoil arrangement, each lobe containing alternating castles and lions passant guardant, representing the kingdoms of Castile and León respectively. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle and a second beaded border near the milled rim. The peripheral legend, in bold Latin capitals, reads HISPANIARVM · REX, with the date 1682 positioned at the top of the coin. The overall composition follows the established macuña milled coinage style introduced under the Habsburgs for large-denomination silver pieces.
