| Additional information |
The Organisation of African Unity's summit was hosted by Sudan in 1978, and this essai — a trial strike never approved for circulation — appears to have been produced in anticipation of a commemorative issue that ultimately went no further. Pattern and essai pieces from Sudanese state institutions of this period are poorly documented, and KM# Pn20 surfaces rarely enough that auction appearances remain the primary record of its existence.
