| Obverse description | A portrait vignette of Douglas Hyde, first President of Ireland, occupies the right side of the note, with a view of Áras an Uachtaráin rendered as a vignette at left. The interior base of the Ardagh Chalice forms an intricate underprint across the face of the note. Bilingual inscriptions in Irish and English include the denomination rendered in Irish as 'Caoga Punt', with the issuer name 'Banc Ceannais na hÉireann' lettered along the upper margin. |
