| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in green, black, and red on cream paper, divided into an upper pictorial panel and a lower text panel. The upper section bears two skyline vignettes — the Marktkirche and market square of Halle at left, and Burg Giebichenstein at right — flanking a central oval medallion edged with a red-berry garland enclosing a mounted knight in red costume. Below the vignette, a black band carries the word 'Gutschein' in white script, above a red-lettered denomination cartouche reading 'Fünfzig Pfennig' on a scroll. The lower green panel contains the issuing and validity text in Gothic script at left and right, with a facsimile signature of the exhibition directorate at lower right. |
