Obverse description A raised pearl border encircles the entire obverse field. The circular legend 'EISENWERK HENRIETTENHÜTTE', separated by a small star at the base, runs along the inner edge of the pearl rim. The large denomination numeral '50' is prominently rendered in bold relief at the center of the field, dominating the design. The lettering and numeral are incuse-style raised characters in a simple, utilitarian industrial style consistent with German notgeld emergency coinage of the World War I era.

Reverse description A raised pearl border encircles the entire reverse field. At the center of the plain field sits a large, boldly rendered imperial crown in high relief, featuring a jeweled band, floral and scroll ornamentation on the arches, and a small cross mounted atop the crown finial. The crown occupies the majority of the central field and is executed with considerable detail, including reeded and beaded decorative elements on the headband. No legend or inscription appears on this side.
