Obverse description Boldly rendered eagle head in right profile, facing left, occupying the central field with strong sculptural relief, the plumage rendered in fine detailed feathering. The legend AACHEN is inscribed along the upper periphery, interrupted by a five-pointed star at the apex, with the date 1920 appearing along the lower rim.
