| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels on a tan ground with red and black multicolour printing. The central panel carries a bust-length portrait vignette of Martin Rinckart (1586–1649), the Lutheran clergyman and hymnist associated with Eilenburg, rendered in fine line engraving style. Flanking panels each display the Eilenburg civic coat of arms within scrollwork cartouches, with the denomination '50 Pf.' repeated in each corner. Below the panels, the issuer inscription appears in ornate red Gothic script, with two facsimile manuscript signatures of the Magistrat, and the printer's imprint 'LIERSCH.' at lower left. |
