| Obverse description | Dark-printed letterpress Notgeld note with a bold geometric Art Deco border of radiating zigzag and striped triangular forms framing the central design. A large diamond-shaped vignette at centre bears the denomination numeral '50 Pf' in ornate script, flanked by two small circular rosette ornaments at left and right. Below the central vignette appear two signature lines with printed role designations 'Der Finanzausschuß' and 'Der com. Amtsvorsteher', beneath which manuscript signatures appear; the serial number is stamped in red ink at bottom centre, and the printer's imprint 'KONRAD HANF · HAMBURG 8' appears at the foot of the note. |
