| Obverse description | Notgeld issued in July 1921, printed in black and salmon-red on cream paper. The central vignette presents a bold silhouette of Quedlinburg's collegiate church (Stiftskirche) rising against a starburst of radiating rays, rendered in a striking woodcut-style letterpress technique. The denomination '50 Pfennig' appears in large Gothic blackletter type in the left and right side panels, each framed by an ornate salmon-red guilloche border, with the redemption conditions and issuing authority text flanking the central design. |
