| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed in black on pale rose-tinted paper, with a large central guilloche rosette rendered as a pink underprint. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is set in ornate Gothic blackletter at centre, superimposed over the guilloche vignette, with the title 'Sparmarke über' in smaller Gothic lettering above.
