| Obverse description | Central field features a shield-shaped civic arms bearing an upright conifer tree (spruce or fir), flanked by decorative scroll ornaments at upper left and right corners, with small stars positioned to either side at mid-height. The circular legend MARKTGEMEINDE VIECHTACH arcs around the periphery, with the date 1917 appearing in the lower portion of the legend. The coin's border is plain, and the overall relief is low and flat, consistent with wartime zinc notgeld production. |
