| Obverse description | Within a central beaded rope circle, the heraldic lion of Überlingen rampant to right, crowned, with raised forepaw, rendered in relief against a plain field. The circular legend STADTGEMEINDE surrounding the upper arc and ÜBERLINGEN along the lower arc frames the rope border. The design draws directly from the municipal arms of Überlingen, lending the issue an official heraldic character typical of WWI German notgeld coinage. |
