| Obverse description | The octagonal field is bordered by a continuous pearl (beaded) rim following the coin's eight-sided outline. The city's heraldic achievement — the Coat of Arms of Torgau, featuring a quartered shield with chevrons and a beast in base, surmounted by a crested helm with a displayed eagle as crest and elaborate acanthus mantling — occupies the central field.
