| Reverse description | A central oval vignette rendered in fine line art presents a street view of the 1813 Memorial Cross (Erinnerungskreuz) on its stepped stone column, set against a church facade and bare-branched trees. The dark border surrounding the oval is decorated with holly sprigs and red berries at each corner. A grey legend panel below the vignette carries the city name and monument inscription, flanked by red denomination squares, with the design registration mark "D.R.G.M. 795679." printed beneath. |

Schneidemühl — now Piła in northwestern Poland — was a Prussian railway junction town whose municipal savings bank issued notgeld during the paper money chaos of the early Weimar period. Carl Flemming & Wiskott in Glogau were a prolific regional printer of small-denomination emergency currency across Silesia and Posen, turning out series for dozens of municipal issuers simultaneously, which accounts for the workmanlike rather than artistic character typical of their output.
The Städtische Sparkasse issues from Schneidemühl are among the less documented of the Posen-region notgeld runs — the town changed hands administratively following Versailles, creating gaps in municipal archives.
