| Obverse description | Buff-toned letterpress note with a red ornamental border framing the entire face. At left, the large Gothic numeral '50' appears in bold type beneath the issuer's name set in Fraktur script, with the designation 'Notgeld' and 'Mündelsicher' inscribed above and below. To the right, a circular vignette presents the Virgin Mary enthroned with the Christ Child in a medieval devotional style, haloed and flanked by candlesticks, while a line-drawn view of the Lilienthal monastery church occupies the lower right. The bottom panel carries the acceptance clause, date, two manuscript signatures, and the motto 'VALLIS LILIORUM MARIAE' along the lower border. |
