| Obverse description | Green letterpress note enclosed within a decorative border of foliate and scrollwork ornaments at each corner, with a watermark-style vignette of the Spandau city arms (a castle tower) as underprint in the centre. The denomination numeral '50' is printed in large bold type over the arms, flanked by the inscription 'FÜNFZIG PFENNIG', with the issuing authority 'KRIEGSNOTGELD DER STADT SPANDAU' at the top. Two manuscript signatures appear for Der Magistrat above the red serial number and series designation at the lower margin, with the printer's imprint 'CARL FLEMMING AG., GLOGAU UND BERLIN' below the border. |
