Obverse description The obverse is laid out in a decorative Jugendstil-influenced letterpress style with Gothic (Fraktur) script throughout. To the left, a vignette renders the Inhalatorium building in fine line engraving, captioned 'Inhalatorium' at the base, framed by trees and a decorative scroll banner above. To the upper left, the denomination '50 Pf' is printed in bold red numerals, while the issuer inscription 'Bad Sulza i/Thür.' appears in large Fraktur lettering at upper right, underlined in red. The text body states the payment obligation, the date 'Bad Sulza, 19. Juli 1921', validity 'Gültig bis 31. Dez. 1922', and bears two manuscript signatures under the titles 'Der Gemeindevorstand' and 'Der Gemeinderat: Vorsitzender', alongside a circular red official seal of the Stadtgemeinde Bad Sulza and the series letter 'C'.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in a palette of blue-green, olive, and cream tones with a bold dark header band bearing the inscription 'BAD SULZA in/THÜRINGEN' in large Roman capitals. The central vignette portrays a family group of spa visitors — a man, woman, and two children — strolling before the domed Trinkhalle building set amid parkland, with a bathchair visible to the right; the building is captioned 'Trinkhalle' at lower right. Flanking the central scene, two tall blue panels each carry the denomination '50 Pf' above a decorative fountain spray motif. A two-part verse inscription in Fraktur runs across the lower margin.
