Reverse description The reverse carries a tall central vignette, framed by a black ruled border, of a fully armoured knight in visor helmet ascending a rope ladder at night — an illustration of the Saxon Prinzenraub (Abduction of the Princes) of 1455. Flanking text panels in Gothic blackletter script recount the historical episode on both sides of the vignette. The denomination '50' in large red Gothic numerals occupies all four corners, with 'Pfg.' in red below the upper pair, and the series title 'Prinzenraub.' is inscribed along the lower margin; 'Sächs.' appears centred at the top.
Reverse lettering Sächs.
