| Additional information |
Ober-Glogau issued this iron notgeld piece in 1918 as the German war economy had long since consumed available copper and nickel for munitions production. Municipal authorities across Silesia were left to improvise coinage independently, producing a fragmented patchwork of local emergency issues with no central design coordination. Iron was abundant but corrodes readily, which is why surviving specimens in problem-free condition are harder to locate than mintage figures alone would suggest.
