Obverse description The obverse displays the municipal coat of arms of Neheim at centre, depicting a crenellated city gate with three towers surmounted by battlements, below which an eagle with spread wings is shown in relief. The date 1918 is split across the lower field, with '19' to the left and '18' to the right of the arms. Above the central device, a raised cartouche bears the two-line legend STADT / NEHEIM in bold capital letters. The overall design is plain and functional, consistent with the utilitarian character of wartime notgeld coinage.
