| Obverse description | Central field depicts the haloed figure of Saint Walderich von Murrhardt kneeling in prayer before an altar table, upon which rest a lit candle and a cross, rendered in a detailed pictorial style. The saint is shown in monastic robes, his hands raised in devotion, set against a lightly textured field enclosed by a raised inner circle. Four lozenge-shaped ornaments punctuate the inner border at the cardinal points. The circumferential legend in Latin reads KRIEGSMÜNZE DER STADT MURRHARDT, flanked by Maltese cross stops, with the date 1918 positioned at the base between two six-pointed star stops. |
