Obverse description The central field displays the municipal coat of arms of Marktredwitz, depicting a spread eagle within a heraldic shield surmounted by a mural crown. A circular legend in Latin script surrounds the central device, separated from the rim by a plain border. Two five-pointed stars flank the legend as dividers, positioned at the left and right of the field. The overall design is characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early Weimar period.
