| Obverse description | The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Eisenach, bearing a haloed armoured saint holding a cross-emblazoned flag and a palm frond, with a red-cross shield at his side, set against a blue field with a white cross. Flanking the crest are two detailed townscape vignettes: the Wartburg castle complex to the left and the St. George's Church (Georgenkirche) precinct to the right, rendered in a woodcut-style letterpress. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' appears in Gothic script within decorative panels at lower left and right, with three facsimile signatures beneath the commemorative text in the centre. |
