| Reverse description | A central octagonal frame with beaded inner border bears the large numeral '50' in bold relief, with the legend NOTGELD arched above and PFENNIG inscribed below along the lower arc of the octagon. The entire central device is encircled by a wreath of stylized wheat or olive branches extending around the full periphery of the coin, rendered in low relief against the flat field. The composition is bold and utilitarian, characteristic of iron Notgeld emergency issues of the early Weimar Republic period. |
