| Obverse description | Beaded border surrounds the entire face. The large numeral '50' occupies the central field, with the denomination legend 'PFENNIG' inscribed directly below in bold capital letters. A circular legend reading 'BEZIRK·KÜNZELSAU' arcs around the upper portion of the field, while '·NOTGELD·' appears along the lower arc, all in Latin script. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, consistent with wartime emergency coinage (Notgeld) production. |

| Reverse description | A rope-style border frames the reverse. At the center, a German Iron Cross motif divides the field into four quadrants, with the two-part issue year '19' and '17' placed in the left and right quadrants respectively. The royal crown appears in the upper quadrant, the letter 'W' (for Kaiser Wilhelm) occupies the lower quadrant, and the year '1914' — marking the outbreak of World War I — is inscribed within the cross. The design is a common patriotic motif found on German wartime Notgeld issues. |
