Obverse description Within a continuous pearl border, the large numeral '50' occupies the central field in bold relief, denoting the denomination. A circular Latin legend reading 'MARKTGEMEINDE' arcs across the upper portion and 'HOLZKIRCHEN' across the lower portion, separated by small cross ornaments, identifying the issuing market town. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, characteristic of wartime Notgeld coinage.
