| Obverse description | Central field displays the municipal coat of arms of Herrenberg, depicting a stylized city gate with twin towers rendered in low relief within a pointed shield. The shield is flanked by decorative foliate or scroll ornaments on either side. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, within which the circular Latin legend reads STADT HERRENBERG, with the date 1917 positioned at the base, separated by small circular stops.
