| Obverse description | Multicolour Notgeld note with a bold geometric border in red, teal, and black, with the denomination '50 PFG' repeated vertically on both lateral margins. The central vignette presents the heraldic coat of arms of Oldenburg — a crowned shield flanked by two rampant lions in black — above a decorative ribbon scroll. Below the arms, a text block in Gothic script states the note's validity throughout the State of Oldenburg and its acceptance at all public cash offices, dated 1921, with two manuscript signatures flanking the year and the issuer's name 'Die Handelskammer Oldenburg i/O.'
