Obverse description The large numeral '50' dominates the central field in bold raised relief. A circular legend reading 'STADT GRÄFRATH' arcs across the upper portion of the coin, with the date '1920' continuing along the right side, and 'PFENNIG' completing the inscription along the lower arc. The design is simple and utilitarian, characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early Weimar period.
