| Obverse description | Multicolour notgeld voucher with a guilloche border in gold and green tones enclosing a central vignette of layered geometric underprint in ochre and grey. The issuer name 'G.M. Holz Tabakfabrikate' and the title 'Gutschein der Firma' are set in Gothic blackletter script at the top, flanked in each corner by the denomination '50 Pfs.' in red. A teal horizontal band across the centre carries 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in bold Gothic lettering, below which the date 'den 1. Juli 1921', place of issue 'Frankfurt a.M.', foundation year 'Gegründet 1849', and the redemption clause are inscribed in italic script. The serial number prefix 'G.M.' appears at the lower centre. |
