| Obverse description | Within a raised solid inner circle, the large numeral '50' dominates the central field, with the archaic Pfennig symbol (a stylized cursive 'f' or ligature) positioned directly below. The entire design is enclosed by a circular legend reading STAHLWERK • BÖHLER • DÜSSELDORF, with the date 1917 separated by bullet points at the base, all rendered in raised Latin capitals between the inner circle and the coin's plain rim. |

| Reverse description | A bare-headed female bust in left-facing profile occupies the recessed inner circle, her hair swept back and gathered at the nape in a classical style with finely incised strands. The truncation is plain. The inner circle is bounded by a continuous ornamental border of repeating scroll or wave motifs (vitruvian scroll), filling the broad flat rim between the inner field and the coin's edge. The field is otherwise plain and devoid of legend or inscription. |
