| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red, black, and gold on cream paper. A wide black horizontal band across the centre bears the denomination numeral '50' in large grey figures on each side, flanking a central oval cartouche displaying the crowned lion coat of arms of Zeulenroda in gold and red. Above the band, a banner panel carries a four-line German verse in red letterpress on a cream ground, while the lower panel bears the issuer inscription, validity clause, date, and facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister, all within a red ruled border. The printer's imprint of Otto Henning A.G., Greiz appears at the foot. |
