Obverse description The left panel carries a bold black vignette of the heraldic Berlin bear in rampant posture, set against a tan guilloche underprint of repeated floral rosettes and numeral '50' motifs, with the numeral '50' printed in large format beside the bear. The central panel bears the denomination and issuing authority in Gothic blackletter script on the same guilloche ground. To the right, an ornate blue geometric border panel contains a circular watermark window. The serial number is printed in blue at the lower left beneath the bear panel.
