Obverse description Brown and blue Notgeld note with a dense guilloche underprint of repeated '50' numerals and ornamental rosettes across the entire field. To the left, a bold black vignette of the heraldic Berlin bear stands upright with the numeral '50' beside it, framed within a blue-ruled panel; to the right, an intricate blue geometric latticework border panel contains a central circular void. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennige' is inscribed in large Gothic blackletter script at centre, below which the issuing authority legend reads 'Stadtkassenschein / Berlin 9. Sept. 1921 / Magistrat der Reichshauptstadt' in matching script, with a facsimile signature below; the serial number panel appears at lower left.
