| Obverse description | The left panel carries a bold black vignette of the Berlin bear rampant, set against a fine guilloche underprint of repeated '50' numerals and rosette patterns in tan and blue. The central field bears the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennige' in large Gothic blackletter script, followed by the issuing authority 'Stadtkassenschein / Berlin 9. Sept. 1921 / Magistrat der Reichshauptstadt' in matching calligraphic Gothic lettering, with a facsimile signature below. The right border panel is filled with an elaborate interlaced blue geometric ornament enclosing a circular watermark zone, while the serial number appears at the lower left within a ruled cartouche. |
