Obverse description Printed in dark olive-green on cream paper, the obverse is divided into three vertical panels. The left panel carries a vignette of a miner in working attire holding a tool, while the right panel shows a uniformed official or guard. The central section bears the town arms of Leopoldshall — a crowned shield with crossed hammers and a balance — flanked by two pairs of crossed mining hammers above the motto 'Glück auf!', below which a four-line verse in German script references the local potash and rock-salt mining industry. The lower portion contains the denomination '50 Pfg.' on either side of a boxed text panel stating the validity clause, the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat', the place and date 'Leopoldshall, den 25. Juli 1921', a manuscript facsimile signature, and a printed serial number, with the printer's imprint 'LOUIS KOCH, HALBERSTADT.' at the foot.
Juli 1921.
Der Magistrat
50 Pfg.
LOUIS KOCH, HALBERSTADT.
Reverse description The reverse is printed in the same dark olive-green on cream paper and carries a large central vignette of an underground mine gallery at depth, with two miners at work amid pit props and rail tracks, rendered in a detailed illustrative style. Flanking the central image on the left and right are inscriptions reading 'Kali- u. Steinsalzgewinnung' ('Potash and rock-salt extraction'), each side accompanied by a wheat-ear motif and a small lion device. The denomination '50 Pfg.' appears in the lower corners on both sides, and a caption beneath the mine scene reads 'Streckenbetrieb etwa 450 m unter Tage'. The header across the full width of the note reads 'Gutschein der Stadt Leopoldshall i. Anh.'
