| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue and black on plain paper, with a decorative guilloche oval underprint at centre surrounded by scrollwork vignettes. The municipal arms of Freiburg im Breisgau — a quartered shield with a cross — appear at top centre. The denomination "Fünfzig Pfennig" is inscribed in large blackletter script across the middle, above the place and date "Freiburg i.Br. 15 Febr. 1919", with the authority inscription "Der Stadtrat:" and a manuscript signature to the right. Numeral "50" appears in each of the four corner boxes within the outer border. |
