| Obverse description | Letterpress Notgeld printed in green and black on paper, with a dense diamond-pattern guilloche underprint covering the entire field. The heading 'Gutschein der Stadt KAHLA' in blackletter script runs across the top, flanked by ornate oval cartouches each bearing the numeral '50'; the bold blackletter inscription '50 Pfennig' dominates the central register. Below, a redemption clause and the issuing authority 'Der Stadtrat zu Kahla, S.A.' appear in serif type, followed by two manuscript signatures of municipal officials and the issue date 'Ausgegeben im Jahre 1920.' at the foot. |
