| Obverse description | The upper register carries the denomination in large Gothic blackletter script ('fünfzig Pfennig') flanked at left by the heraldic shield of the Teutonic Order — a black cross on white — and at right by a vignette of the Marienburg castle tower with an eagle escutcheon. A guilloche underprint in violet fills the lower half, which bears a facsimile signature above the issuing authority inscription, with a validity clause in a decorative cartouche at the foot. |
