Obverse description Plain paper ground printed in black letterpress throughout. The denomination numeral '50' appears large at left, beside the bold Gothic script legend 'fünfzig Pfennige' in the upper centre. The issuing authority 'Bezirksverband der Kgl. Amtshauptmannschaft Oschatz' is set below in a smaller blackletter typeface, accompanied by a manuscript signature with the designation 'Amtshauptmann'. A validity clause in small text at the foot states the note is valid within the district of the Kgl. Amtshauptmannschaft Oschatz until 31 December 1919, all contained within a double-ruled border with a sawtooth outer frame.

Reverse description Printed in black on a plain paper ground, the centre of the note is occupied by a rectangular vignette showing a panoramic townscape of Oschatz dominated by the tall Gothic spire of St. Aegidienkirche, captioned 'OSCHATZ' and 'ST. AEGYDIENKIRCHE' within the frame; decorative scroll ornaments flank the vignette on either side. The denomination '50' appears in large figures to the left and right of the vignette, with 'Fünfzig Pfennige' and 'Bezirk Oschatz' in bold blackletter below. The printer's imprint 'KREY U. SOMMERLAD NIEDERSEDLITZ-DR.' runs along the lower margin, all enclosed within a double-ruled border with a sawtooth outer frame.
