Anklam's Notgeld issues were printed by Gebrüder Parcus of Munich, one of the more prolific Notgeld printers of the 1918–1922 period, responsible for a significant portion of Bavarian and northern German municipal emergency issues. The firm's output was generally competent if commercially minded — quantity over distinction.
The two signatures, Unglaube and Bartelt, represent municipal signatories rather than bank officials, a reminder that by this point the German banking system had effectively delegated small-denomination liquidity to town clerks.
