Obverse description Printed in black and yellow on cream paper within a double-ruled border, the obverse carries a Low German verse in blackletter script along an upper banner. The central vignette comprises three medieval sailing vessels with billowing sails rendered on stylized waves in bold woodcut-style line art, flanked by the denomination "50 PF" in large yellow numerals set within foliate cartouches at left and right. The issuing authority legend "SEESTADT ROSTOCK" runs in bold yellow block lettering across the upper centre, with validity and authorizing body inscriptions along the lower margin.
