| Obverse description | Cream-toned note with a decorative red and black border of interlocking ornamental motifs. At center, the cartouche-framed city seal of Lörrach dated 1756 — an oval vignette enclosing a dove in flight over a hatched background — is flanked by two columns of Gothic-script text. The denomination numeral '50' appears as a large underprint guilloche on both lower corners, with a serial number and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister printed below the central vignette. |
